T Plus says needs 495 bln rbl for heating infrastructure upgrade
MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- Russian power utility T Plus, earlier known as Territorial Generating Company-7 (TGC-7), needs investment of 495 billion rubles to upgrade its heating infrastructure, Economic Director Alexander Vilesov said on Tuesday in a presentation for a meeting of the State Duma, the parliament’s lower house.
Power efficiency of the client power infrastructure needs a 245 billion ruble investment, thermal power plants and heating distribution centers 49 billion rubles, the main heat networks 49 billion rubles, and the heating distribution networks 123 billion rubles, Vilesov said in the presentation.
T Plus said that Russia overall needs a 4.4 trillion ruble investment, including 2–2.5 billion rubles to be spent on generation of heat power and heat distribution networks, and about 2 trillion rubles on power efficiency of client power infrastructure.
Earlier on Monday, Pavel Zavalny, head of the power sector committee of the State Duma, the parliament’s lower house, said that heat loss at Russian heating distribution networks amounts to about 30% and the network’s infrastructure is 70% worn out.
